Manage Projects in Sharepoint and Outlook

The major difference between our project management Sharepoint template and the original Fabulous 40 template is that you can now sync all of your Project Tasks with Outlook.

Like the original template, you may also sync your Projects List, Project Issues and Project Milestones with Outlook. Each of these Sharepoint lists shows up as a separate task list in Outlook.

Manage Projects Online in Sharepoint or Offline in Outlook

You may update all of your lists from Sharepoint or Outlook (including the Sharepoint Project Tasks List) and the changes will sync the next time you perform a Send/Receive in Outlook.

This means that you can work on your projects offline and upload all of your changes to the Sharepoint site by performing a Send/Receive in Outlook. These changes will flow through to the various Sharepoint Project lists and chart views automatically.
